One of my chickens had gotten sour crop and we fed her yogurt with a very limited amount of food, and it seemed to do the trick! There is also a medication called Vet RX that can help with many different types of illnesses, and solved our chickens' respiratory problems. I highly recommend it...
Hello,
One of my 9 month old buff orpingtons layed and egg the other day and it had blood in it! The shell was normal, no cracks or blood, but the inside was pretty bloody... another egg we had a week ago had a small bloodyish chunk in it too. It kinda looked like an artery or something but I...
Thank you all for the help! So i guess mixed breeds would be better for me?
And has anyone had a golden comet before? Or a plymouth rock? And also I can't seem to figure this out: easter eggers are not ameraucanas? They are just mixed?
Thanks for the help!!
Okay thats a good point. I'm still looking around where I live but I know there must be an egg seller within a 2 gold drive, so Ill be ready to go when a chicken goes broody. Thanks

I say girl too. By now, the crown would have been a bit more red if it were a boy. One of my BOs had a very red crown starting from about 5 weeks. I Did not find out what the gender was until it layed an egg at 5 months! And yours has a very light pink crown so its most likely a girl.
