Haha, not rice, it's their shell grit mix for calcium. They eat a game bird layer feed and then whatever bugs I find when I'm gardening. Do you think I need to adjust or add anything?
I assume all noises my quail make translate to "RUN AWAY, GIANT MONSTER INCOMING, SAVE YOURSELVES!" because they always give me that fearing-for-their-lives vibe whenever I visit :gig
Depends on the amount of space you have to house them, and whether the long-term cost of keeping them is worth it. Would you keep them for breeding?
Perhaps a quail broth/stock is the way to go if they're not super meaty 😂
Or dog food? :idunno I like to consider the quality of life if they have...
