Thanks for the reply ,it seems to be healthy and gaining well, we have 46 other turkeys and they are all fully feathered .

No raw or broken skin ,,,new feathers are starting now, it seems strange only one of them is like this .No sign of mites or anything

I think it Should be easy to tell at 8 months of age ,,my tom is much bigger than the hens and his snood was very obvious at three months

Do you still have turkeys for the winter or did you process all of them?

Hello,we kept our 20- two day old poults in brooderfor 3 wks started at95 and lowered it 5deg. every week They did fine this spring and summer,Hoping to keep 7 thru the winter to hatch eggs from next spring,

We have cedar nesting boxes and no problems but have heard lots of hearsay also
