I have chickens bc I enjoy them. Half my flock are almost retired and rarely leg eggs. Most of the eggs I get I sell to buy their food.

Are 55 shy, fearful chicks? I got some that are currently 5wks old & they still run from me. I got legbars & naked necks at the same time & all handled the same & my other breeds come up to me, will jump on my lap when I sit in their pin with them but my 3 55 chicks avoid me.

I have a variety. Get got 6 Pullets from tractor supply that are red. Not sure what they are. One old English bantam & one Dutch bantam that turned out to be roosters. Those 8 are all 9 wks old. Then we got 2 naked necks, 1 Cochin, 2 Americana & 3 silkies. They are all 5 weeks old. Hoping all girls.
