I recomend a standard poodle. Yes, I said poodle. Very sweet, no shedding, loves to run and play. Poodle mix with a short haired dog is ideal because you have a no shed coat and don't have to pay a groomer. You could even breed you schnauzer to a toy poodle.

It's too soon for wacking them! My feed store advised to switch them to laying feed at 18 weeks. Mine are all laying everyday now, they all started at different times. Some weeks apart. Don't give up yet...... they will lay!! PS... Let's see a picture of that "mystery bird" we have some...
