I forgot to update! So it took a few days, but she slowly started walking again and now seems completely normal! She's even back to laying eggs! Yay!

Still not walking. She can stand, and if I hold her under her stomach, she can sort of walk, but if she tries herself, she just falls forward/over.
I can now see that her left foot is turned in while the right foot is normal (straight forward). I don't know what to do about it! I'm thinking...
Thanks! I gave her a scrambled egg, and the poor thing was starving! She ate it so fast! I gave her some water with a dropper- I'll need to get some pedialyte.
Ugh, so stressful. I'm so worried about her dying!!

One of our hens got stuck between something (probably all day) and couldn't move or eat/drink. Now she won't walk or stand- why would this be? Her legs couldn't have been broken the way she was, and when I turn her upside down, she is able to easily move both her legs. Her wings seem fine as...
Oh yay!! Thank you all! The comb confused me because it looks very much like my two EEs (which both turned out to be Roos unfortunately) but not like all the hens.
Thanks again!

I can't tell if my silver laced Wyandotte is really a hen. She isn't crowing, but her tail feathers and comb make me suspicious. She's almost 12 weeks old.
I have a hard time getting photos because she's so skittish, but let me know if these are good enough:

I'm not opposed to someone eating them, as I eat chicken too, I just can't do it myself! We weren't even able to find that! My husband finally found some bird sanctuary that will take them so I'm very happy about that. Still very upset that I won't be getting any blue/green eggs unless I buy...
Help! I'm so upset because I got two EE in my flock of 8 to ensure that I would get blue/green eggs.
This one I know is a rooster (which we are not allowed to have in out city) because this morning he perfected his crow, which is extremely loud!
This one isn't crowing yet, but I'm so sad...
I read that it's fine to put young ones in the coop overnight without a heat source if it doesn't dip below 60. Mine will be 3 weeks old on Wednesday, and I took the heat lamp away 4-5 days ago, and they are fine but they are still indoors, and I have 8 in a plastic bin so lots of body heat...
Yes- that's exactly what we said. We didn't even realize our original 5 had really gotten bigger until we got the new ones, and they were SO much smaller! People aren't kidding when they say chicks grow at an amazing rate. I feel like my original ones, born July 9th, are already too big for...
I am by no means an expert AT ALL, but I ordered 6 chicks and one died so I had to order 3 more. When they arrived, they were 5 days younger than the original 5. I put them in the brooder, and the older ones did sort of pick on them and peck at them at first- I think just to let them know how...
I have 8 chicks- five are 2.5 weeks old and three are 5 days younger. I turned off the heat lamp probably 4 days ago! So the young ones were maybe only a week old? They are in our office/guestroom in a big plastic bin, and it was getting ridiculously hot in there (and we live in southern CA...
Interesting! I swear my one easter egger gets more skittish by the day- it's so annoying! The bigger they get, and the more she is able to fly, the crazier her antics get in trying to get away from me.
"Fat Amy"- haha! That cracked me up!
Poultry Queen- my silver laced is pretty friendly...
