keeping these coops out side hows the heat factor for the birds in the winter time.? something for 3 birds.

I have 1 silkie 3 reds.they did slow down on the laying ...north east weather ya know. Maybe 2 day or so . So today I dug up at least 10 eggs probably been there for awhile,you think there any good.

I gather every other day.... Guess I'm short an 1/2 a egg.

lately I've throwing my frozen eggs away hard as a rock, someone told to just thaw them out and there good as new .....any truth to that?

Can I take a frozen egg and thaw it out and still eat it.......

yea i've been loosing eggs during this freeze......

yea it's alittle cold in these parts, pretty much all the eggs are frozen. waited 2 days. gonna have to get the eggs every day .

ment to ask this question a few times......do the hens eat there pellets whole or some how break it apart?

i have 3 reds and 1 white silky and i know it's not my silky she has cream eggs. it's one of the reds.......this is the 3 or 4th time I've gotten doubles, not complaining. is this standard for most young birds around 5-6 mos old. hey i only have to use one egg....lol

.mine is close to 6 mos also......my reds started earlier

i just got some young chicks at 8 weeks....they were really skiddisk when we got them now at 5 mos old there getting better . 1 is starting to let me pet her and pick her up .....the others not so much......progression.

so my 3 reds @4.5 months old are laying but i also have a white silkie, shes not laying yet.....all the same age. when do you think she'll start laying.? her combs aren't developed like the reds......you think that maybe it?
