The Rouen Clair is a heavy breed of duck originating from France. The breed was developed by Monsleur Rene Garry between 1910 and 1920 using Mallard-coloured ducks available in Rouen, France. In comparison to the Rouen (Expedition type), Rouen Clair’s have a slightly upright appearance and are lighter in colour due to being trout.
