    I put the box on top of heat and in the box is a fluffy towel with a thin towel on top of box. Just checked and she stretched out her little leg. I feel sorry for her. What a rough start if she makes it.

    I just put her in a box nested in towels and she is in the garage. It is very warm out there and if nothing else at least she will be comfortable when she goes. Poor little thing. Thank you all for your advice. Now we wait and see what mother nature will decide.

    This pic I just took. I have never seen one fresh from the egg so do not know what is normal. While getting ready to take this the broody took a bit of the translucent stuff off.

    My chick is out of the shell and her butt is free and her beak is out but head is still in the translucent stuff. She had split the eggshell around 12 or 1 this afternoon and it is now 530. Is it time to panic or let her finish on her own?
