I have lost all my roosters but one little Silkie. I haven't seen a blue head however. 2 were Millie fleur as well. One a show girl one a blue maran and one a frizzle polish. Only the roosters
I never leave them in together. I would always have a dead chick or two (from coop mates) I've even brought hens and eggs inside my house in a dog cage. I love catching the hatch! My husband built a small run with a pet taxi for them for a while till they were bigger
I had a broody bantam brama and she was sitting on 14 eggs all unfertilized. So I went to tractor supply and bought 4 chicks (all that was left). They were all black like her except for one little white one. We waited till she was roasting took out all the eggs and replace them with the babies...
I bought chicks from TSC 3 weeks before Mothers Day. They are getting bigger have been moved outside and now I've lost 2 one dead in the coop. One with bubbly eye brought in used vet rx died last night after being in the "coop hospital" not sure what's happening. I don't want to lose all my...
They are inside. I always raise my chicks indoors, my living room actually. Yes I'm that person. They seemed to do fine. I replaced their water with lukewarm till we replaced their heat. As soon as they new lamp was in...they were under there quick!
So our Frenchie had zoomies and chipped the side of our brooder box and the heat lamp bulb broke. I'm going to replace it. But can't for a few hours. Will they be ok? I've had them with me for about 2 1/2 weeks they do have new feathers and they were about 5 days old when I got them. Which...
Spitzenhauben rooster attacked my 3 year old. Also put a puncture hole in his back. Very close to his spine. We won't have anymore. He was a very large rooster.
We had a very aggressive rooster. He put my 3 yr old in the ER. He was NOT small. We did let him free range and he would roost on my porch every night. (Tried to add a pic). No we will never have another!
I have lost 2 roosters in the past month. From 2 seperate coops. I didn't see the white bumps on his skin. He was just laying on his side with his eyes closed. He died a few hours later. Really hope its not Merek's disease!
Our Americana lays Dailey. Big, beautiful, dark brown, sometimes speckeled eggs. However, lately she has a large amount of clear dicharge before, during and after she lays an egg. There is a fishy smell...do any of you have a suggestion to what is wrong w/one of the black sisters?
Think this may be Angel Wing...it definitely looks twisted at the last joint. Not sure this little girls breed. But I have 2 and the other doesn't have this issue.
