Here's a couple of shots of her showing it off:
I think I miss-measured a little since it's a tiny bit big on her, but I simply took it in with some safety pins. When I order them next time I'm going to get them about an inch smaller I think.
Has anyone tried trimming the chickens' nails with one of those pedi-paws? My house chicken's nails and beak are getting a bit long (she's a lazy girl and doesn't do anything to wear them down) and I have one of those pedi-paws for cat and dog nails that I haven't ever used, but thought it would...
Ohhh, he's so cute. I need another roo like I need a hole in my head but I'll take him if you haven't found a home for him yet. I go to Sierra down in Rocklin so I'm pretty close to Auburn most weekdays.

Yeah, the fair's in the middle of Sacramento. It's called CalExpo and it's on Exposition Blvd right off of Capitol City Freeway. They are supposed to have a new chicken exhibit where kids can touch them and learn how to care for them. I was thinking the people that are working there might be...
Where are you located? Maybe someone here would like to get him and try to work on his personality. Probably not, but it's worth a shot before you set him free. Or try advertising on Craigslist.
Maybe we should all get together at the California State Fair sometime. It's from the middle of August to the beginning of September and they are supposed to have a new poultry encounter type thing this year.
The little feathered ones would love you if you let them out with the cattle. Mine think cow poop is a delicious! They even mingled with my bulls that got into my front yard and everyone seemed to get along greet. The only problem I thought of was if one had polish or silkies, they might not...
There's loads of people in California-we're all just shy
I'm up near Sac but you should check out the California Chickens group:

There's lots of people down near you.
It's not supposed to be good to have them out longer than a couple of hours. I don't worry about it too much but I don't think several days would be okay.
You could tell her a bunch of horror stories and scare her straight. What would be a good story? Just casually mention that you heard the funniest story on the internet about this idiot that got a goat and actually put it in her backyard. The person put it in her yard and it wouldn't stop...
Geez, what a witch! I'm sorry I can't think of a way to persuade her to not make a fuss, maybe she's afraid of them? It seems like she's making a big deal over nothing. Since you aren't annexed yet is it still legal for you to have the chickens? If it is, I wouldn't worry about her if I were...
They're Silver Laced Polish Cresteds. I love the Polish, but they are a little flighty so they need a lot of taming. My favorite is the gold laced pc. Right now all I have are the white crested black.
I'd love to get together with some other chickenites. I know there are probably lots more people who would love to get together too. There are several of us on the east side of Sacramento. Also I know of someone up by Red Bluff and someone down by Ione. Also someone lives in Fort Bragg...
Heat: For the heat misters in the coop are a must. Maybe you could put in a swamp cooler. I also like to allow the chickens some shady bare dirt to wallow in. They love to dust bathe and when they are done their feathers are nice and cool. They also like to lay there with their wings spread...
