That would be awesome. I think I am going to take a aquarium hiatus, I am already dreading the idea. I will keep my 37g freshwater tank for that period, 6-7 other tanks have got to go though.
Right?!? Both tanks and chickens are great. Unfortunately whenever I start working on one of the more often I start losing interest in the other. I have been balancing it pretty good lately. Beautiful tank!
Here are a few interesting fish http://www.petsolutions.com/C/Live-Freshwater-Fish-Oddball-Fish+SAll.aspx . I have a bunch written down somewhere, I am having a hard time finding it though. Hopefully someone didn't toss it in the trash .
5 would be a good number, don't forget that they need a smooth substrate, nothing too sharp. I think a good fish to go along with them would be some glass cats. http://m.liveaquaria.com/product/prod_display.cfm?c=830+836+2519&pcatid=2519
All I know is that mandarin gobies are extremely hard to keep alive for a newbie. I don't own any saltwater tanks, but I've been told many of the common species are bad for beginners. The most highly recommended marine fish I believe is clowns, inexpensive and less picky because they are now...
lol I have always had excellent timing (Not) lol. But actually I don't have a name, I'm lame like that. I've been keeping fish since I was 12, so I mainly keep tanks more or less for the plants now. She's very pink though, I got her from petsmart (I think). She was very tiny at the time, she's...
Well it appears they like to hide and do better in larger tanks that have lots of hiding spaces (planted tanks are a plus). I would make sure to feed them a couple bits of algae wafers so they eat well.
sorry, I've had stretches of losing multiple fish before finding the problem. I would say to put water into a container to let it distilled overnight to get rid of the harmful levels of chems in the water, it will not completely rid the water of everything but it will bring it to a safe level...
My Betta fish get them if they are small, I don't own any fish bigger than that at the moment. Did have a Oscar for a while and fed him those a lot of the excess fry.
Sometimes owning a couple guppies is like containing the shrapnel of a bomb , they never stop breeding. And you can never catch every single one either because there is always more hiding somewhere.
Having tanks that is full of plants and fish drains money fast! I have some tanks with no fish and lots of plants and tanks with no plants that are full of fish... After I got livebearers I didn't buy as many fish because they reproduce so fast.
I live in a mobile home, so my dad never like the idea of a couple hundred pounds sitting above the ground so no "huge" tanks for me.
My uncle has offered me his spare 65 gallon on multiple occasions and turning it down is harder every time, but I don't like rocking the boat too much because of...
