    My easier suggestion would be to put a bottom piece of hardware cloth on your chicken tractor. that would keep them from digging in and allow your birds to still get grass when your tractor is moved.

    I wasn't aware beaks were able to grow back. Especially since battery hens had theirs clipped.

    It's been my experience that raccoons kill mercilessly. They may eat the chickens but kill many at the same time. Maybe a Fox or weasel? Possibly even a bobcat
