I'm looking for a good SQ or BQ black bantam wyandotte roo or cockerel. I would prefer to find something within 200 miles for pick-up, but will ship if I have to.
Here's another guy that's just too pretty for freezer camp. He's from an accidental cross when one of my BR hens made it into the Andalusian coop LOL
He's a really pretty guy though, likes people and know how to guard his girls. 8 months old. I'd really like to find a good home for this guy.
I have two dark Brahma cockerels that need to find a home in the next week. They are really sweet, I've just decided to concentrate on the light brahmas so these guys need to go. I really don't want them to end up in freezer camp, so they are free to a good home.
I've gotten some trap-wise predators before by up-sizing the trap. I had one tricky raccoon that wouldn't go in the live trap I have (which is plenty big), so I borrowed a big, dog sized live trap from the humane society, and got it the first night.
I will also add that the predators around...
Hmmm...I wonder why mine are so weird. They've been in that coop since they were fully feathered, and I kept the oldest locked in there for a month before I started letting them out- just like I did with my other breeds. Whenever I add new, younger birds- I keep everyone locked up for 3 days...
I added a 5th coop and new breed last winter, and now have a nice group of SLWs going. These are my first SLWs, and my group of 10 ranges in ages from 6 mos-9 mos. I hatched eggs from 3 different BYC members, and also ordered some from Sandhill. I live on 40 acres, and I let all the coops out to...
I'm posting this for a neighbor, she has a special needs 4 month old speckled sussex pullet from show quality lines that needs a new home. Her leg was injured when she was 2 months old and she lost most of the use of it, although she uses it kind of as a crutch to get around. She's perfectly...
I have an 8 month old partridge cockerel available. He's really sweet and does a good job looking after his flock of girls, I just bought a mille coching roo though and don't have room for both. $10
I'm still working through and paring down the flock for winter and I've decided to let one more silkie pullet go. PQ 5 month old blue pullet, correct toes and skin color, very cute. This picture is her at 12 weeks, I'll try to get an updated one taken. $15
I would put her in a small cage in a quiet spot, I use a dog crate in the garage- with access to food and water. I'd also give her some aspirin, you can get it at most farm stores and there are several posts on here with the dosage info (search for aspirin). That can really help with the pain so...

I realize this would be quite a drive from Bloomington, but I highly recommend her. The doctor spent a good two hours talking with me today to try and figure out what is wrong with my Easter Egger Ginger. Ginger also had an exam, fluids injected, a antibiotic shot, a...
I posted last week about an injured rooster, and my great surprise that no vets in my area will treat poultry- not the farm vets, not the avian vets, not the exotic and 'pocket pet' vets. My story ended after 2 days of frantically calling vets, with the death of my chicken. I called 40...
They are a mix. The frizzles are all PQ from hatchery lines. The buffs are BQ. The lady I ordered them from had some hatchery stock when she started and then mixed in better birds, I'm using them for a sex-link project with a SQ columbian cochin hen I purchased last year. I'm listing them at PQ...
I had one do that earlier in the summer, and she was also an evil hen. I didn't find her though and has assumed she was long gone to predators- when she popped up in the barnyard 3 weeks later, 18 chicks in tow
I have no idea where she hid herself and 18 eggs, we only kept 4 chicks ourselves...
