I am no expert and need help. I have three that all appear to be similar in size. I have bantam chickens so that is hard to gauge the size. There legs all appear the same thickness and length. The white ones have blue eyes but have a few dark spots on them. Thank-you!!
Somehow these came home from the feedstore last week . They were napping with some 7 week polish in the picture.
I've never owned ducks . I am feeding them layer crumble, boiled eggs, and fruit/veggies daily and bought one of those green turtle kiddie pools from Toys R Us. They sleep in the...

If you want a good idea for a brooder for inside.. find an old or broken dresser. Gut it, cut off the legs, turn it on its back and voila! (of course this does not work with all dressers) Chicks really need more room than you often think. Over heating and crowding can take a toll on them...
I love chickens. I rescued a few newbies (frizzle is pink.. *Not blood*) and half of them stayed inside as it was a treat day. So some of them are in rough shape still but are super happy now! I love seeing hens who never had a rooster and go gaga for them. My Wolfie is a gentle soul. My...

Having a few ticket items in my "vet bag" and a "Chicken Hospital" are key items I think everyone should consider investing in. Unlike us human's, chickens often hide sickness until it is too late and it breaks my heart when I lose a favourite.. Anyone want to share some tips or must-haves for...
It has been a few months and I hope Jem and Jerrica have grown enough for a few guesses other than game mix. They are both laced and have green sheen. Don't mind Princess the Bantam Plymouth Rock and Squeaker the Japanese cockerel in the pic... You know how chickens like to flock together...
Husband came home with some crows... I mean chickens! Sorry not best pic as my IPad died when I finally coaxed them with an apple. Went back outside when it charged but they hid in the bushes. They are young... One is for sure a silver hamburg (pullet or cockerel?) and the other black ones...
Hi! I'm new but not to the forum as a long time lurker.
My husband brought home 4 Japanese Bantam chicks two months ago. The breeder gave us 3 pullets and 1cockerel (maybe). We then only had 6 Sussex chicks in the coop and no roosters. I grew up with chickens and hate roosters as I was...
