This is crazy.

I just put 3 eggs under my broody hen. She has been sitting on golf balls for about a week. Does this matter? will she only be broody for 21 days? Is candling necessary? I just went put some hay in there, and now she wont sit back on the eggs.

I cannot find food grade DE at any feed store around here. TSC does have Stall-Dri for horse stalls, which is mostly DE. How much DE is in it, and is it food grade?

I went to my local pool supply house to get a valve today, and I noticed they have DE. It didnt say food grade, but I figure if you can swim in it, it should be alright for the chickens, right?

I am looking for some silkies and I understand that a hatchery abbreviated mpc has some now, but i have never seen the name of the hatchery spelled out. Cuold someone please enlighten me?

One of my asil hens is broody, and i would like to let her hatch some RIR eggs. I was wondering if anyone can help. Is an asil too skinny to hatch about 6 RIR eggs? Do I let her sit in the coop, or segregate her? Does she know what to do on her own, or do i need to help?

Is mineral oil good for impacted crop? I have a hen that i have to massage down at least twice a month. Stopped feeding them scratch and it didnt help.
