Update: 24 into lockdown. 17 hatched, not too bad Last 2 got some assistance, so will keep an eye on them. 13 are in the brooder box.

So I've never hatched furry feet chicks before. So weird question. Do their feet take longer to straitened out? Looks like my earlier one's foot is fine now but two more have hatched and I don't remember it taking so long for their feet to straighten (maybe I'm just paranoid).

2hatched, (1 looks like the toe is not straight so I will splint when I can take them out.). Multiple pips. Humidity looks good. Will post pictures later. :)

12 were refrigerated (but free and fertile) so not sure how well they will hatch.

Lockdown started. Now I wait. Started with 26 eggs, 24 in lockdown (2 of my purchased araucana eggs were infertile ). All had movement in the eggs this afternoon (except I can't see anything in the remaining 4 araucana eggs but I set them anyway).

Well, I candles my eggs Monday!!! (Day 7). Saw movement on 20/26 eggs and the other 6 are green eggs so I couldn't see anything in them.

I put my small led flashlight in a tall empty shot glass then put a empty toilet paper roll over them both and put the egg on that. Then took the pictures with my iPhone. What you don't see is the 20 blurry pictures I deleted off my phone. :)

At least I wasn't the only one up at 3:30 this morning:)

What do you do at 3:30 am when you wake up and can't go back to sleep? I candled a few eggs and tried to take some pictures. Looking good for day 6.

The amusement park is now closed and all signs of it are gone. Gum bands is Pittsburghese for rubber band and Jagger bushes are thorn bushes.

I never said gum bands (moved to PA from Texas when I was six). But Jagger bushes are real !!!!!! My 8 year old asks for a new steelers shirt from Grandma every year (she keeps growing out of them).

I lived in New Orleans for 3 years, and hated it. Never got into the Saints. Steelers all the way. (Even if I was scared to death to wear my steelers stuff when I lived there).
