Well… sad update…. She was out and about having a good day yesterday…decided she Was Not broody... BUT she just didn’t make it. I found she died in her sleep in the hen house.😕 I think she was older than they told me- her legs looked a different color. Anyway- I’ll blame the heat combined...

Well...I ultimately had to get incubators..lol. MEANWHILE.. Miss Silkie Pants finally went broody 2 days ago...and I'm watching an eg hatch in incubator. Lol. (I poked 5 eggs under her so we'll see)

My egg batches are 8 days apart. I'm currently watching one from first group pip in the secondary incubator. Yaaay Yeah...2 days should be no problem.

Just fyi...turned out to be fine. I think it was just her bedtime. Once I finally ushered her to tge coop..she went straight to her sleep spot with another hen.
