    We'd like a couple barred rocks. Can you keep the chicks outside in the winter or would we have to have her hatch the,mother bring them in? Also, when you quarantine the chickens do you completely separate them or just seperate w. A fence?

    I live in northern VT and it gets cold at night, like negative twenty cold. do people recommend putting heating lamps/lamps in the coop at night? I have heard some people say no and some people say yes. just looking for some opinions.

    My girls have started to molt a few more then others. We have added protein to their diet but is there anything else we can do? It's super cold where I live (last few weeks it's been below zero) along with shorter days. They seem depressed and bored. Any suggestions?
