I have left it well alone since first checking it. Still alive in there this morning, still moving its beak so happy to leave it sat there, if it starts to stop being so alive and active I will get it out.

I have a chick that pipped today it's membrane is dry but it's pipped the wrong end the air sac is still completely intact it's beak is where the hole is. I've moistened and chiped away a bit more of the shell for it, put it back in the incubator as still chirping.

Well after my first hatch being a complete loss we had some silkie eggs due later today. 2am we had had one pip and 1 hatch 9am the pipped one is zipping and egg 3 pipped

Well nothing survived.. We cracked some open and it appears a lot where malposistioned with beaks tucked well and truly in the middle of everything. The one who pipped died before zipping. Hoping for better luck on my next batch. Although I've been given some eggs that have the air sac...

I've read it can take up to 48 hours after first pip and that temperature dropping can delay things. So I would wait it out

Scrap that!!! I just blew another bulb shattered it... I had to go in so I took the chance to candle a few in the bator while cutting my hands to bits and found this guy has pipped upside down!!! Another looks internally pipped... The rest just look full apart from air sac but no movement

Nothing appears to be going on. No rocking no pips... Cannot listin for them as have nearly 3 week old chicks in the same room.

Well it was for an hour tops as the light was on at 6:30am but my 7:30am the bulb had blown, by 8am I got it back up to 80f and when I got back from the school run back up to temp
