My daughter received an RIR two years ago April, i temporarily had three roosters at the time, eventually I had dispersed of all three then I noticed RIR had started to grow spurs. Still no crow and she mounts the other hens on a regular basis... is it just a very masculine hen or do I have a...
Very curious what your end result was! :) I have four eggs that made it to hatching day, one popped day 17 and out on 18. Now it’s day nineteen and the other two rockers stopped a couple days ago. No more pips. I’m thinking of candling when I take ‘Alex’ to the brooder
I have my black sexkink hen sitting on some duck and chicken eggs, I candled them and they all looked great. The other hens will actually take a turn laying an egg in her nest every couple of days while she goes and gets some food and a drink. I have noticed my young Turkey poults paying very...
40 hours since...? Muscovy hatch at 35 days unlike all other ducks who hatch at 28 days. Curious as to how this works out for you! I've got a mix of eggs from Cayuga and muscovy, waiting to see what what I end up with-cross breeds supposedly hatch at 32
Yes, I was supposed to receive golden laced polish, silver laced polish and buff laced polish. They included 4 Roos with my order for warmth who appear to be silver laced wyandottes but have a gold spot on their heads so maybe golden... anyway, I really hope we got all we ordered :-/ fingers...
I’ve received nine strait run laced polish, 3 buff, 3 silver, 3 gold. Which are the silver and which are the gold? The buff are obvious, but I’ve lost one of the dark ones after shipping. (One with the white eyeshadow and yellow beak) Curious which it was.
Oh I’m counting on them being cockerels I was just curious what breed everyone else thought :-) silver laced Wyandotte roo’s look nice from the pics I’ve seen, I was thinking the bronze spot on their heads might indicate golden laced? Any thoughts?
They are from Hoover hatchery, they do have leghorns, I actually am hoping that's what they are, but they also carry 'white Californians, and some other breeds that are white with black markings.
