One surviver left. How would we introduce her to more chickens?

3/4 Of my chickens are dead. RIP Peep, Zelda, and unnamed little black chick. :( She scratched my dogs nose up pretty bad though, which doesn't surprise me. Even as a chick she would show agression. Not a roo, but she sure acted like one. Long story short, either she got out or he got in...

    Ready for the coop?

My mom suggested I turn the heat lamp off, since its 69 degrees inside, to see what would happen. They started chirping loudly and huddling together, so maybe not.

Some backround: I got into chickens from my local 4-H livestock club. The chickens (and other animals, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, ducks, turkeys, etc) are kept at a local park/farm. The have a large flock, 20-30 birds of various ages and breeds. Nugget is the only one that is mine. They do not keep...

What are the best and worst sex ratios you've ever had from a batch of chicks?

I know of someone who hatched 20, 19 came out female. They were very happy.

Chick running up and jumping to peck me?

My Buff Orpington chick will run over to me if I stick my hand in the brooder, jump up, fly a little bit, and peck at my elbow before just running away then trying again. Does anyone know why she might do that? I should also note they probably haven't been socialized properly, but I hate...

    Ready for the coop?

My two chicks are four weeks old, very unhappy in the small plastic bin they are currently in. I know they'd be much happier in the coop. They are also loud and stinky, and we'd be glad to have them outside. It's in the 60s to low 70s at night, higher durring the day. They've started getting all...

    Is pasty butt obvious?

They were cold, so I lowered the lamp and they were better. Chick starter feed, and shredded newspaper bedding, since now they're 3-4 days old. I had a thermometer but it didn't work very well, so now I'm just kind of watching them. They sleep under the lamp, but when they're awake they run all...

    Is pasty butt obvious?

Thanks. I cleaned it off just in case, but I'll be sure to continue checking. Also yesterday they were extremely loud, but today I haven't heard a peep. Should I be worried?

    Is pasty butt obvious?

I've had my chicks one day now, and they didn't poop much yesterday, or really start eating until last night. This morning they've been pooping more. I picked them up to look, and it doesn't seem like there's pasty butt, but it looks like there's a little but stuck on the bottom of theyre...

    My Pet Chicken

Yeah, unfortunately. We had ordered four instead of three, in case something happened... Personally though, if our laws allowed it, I would get wwwwaaayy more than four chickens.

    My Pet Chicken

I did have one chick from there die, but I am convinced 100% that was the fault of USPS. Hope you manage to convince him, they have a great service.

    Very weak chick HELP

Well maybe not drooling. It could of been snot coming from her nose? Do chicks have noses? Anyway, thank you all for the helpful advice. Unfortunately, she didn't make it...but at least I have three, happy, healthy chicks left.

    Very weak chick HELP

I hope she improves as well. Not quite sure what to do though: She can't move. I can watch her now but I do need to sleep. Should I put her under the heat lamp or by her food/water?

    Very weak chick HELP

We called, they suggested sugar water.I gave her some, and she is doing a little better. I looked a her more closely and realized she did have splayed leg, so we treated her for that and now she can sit normally instead of laying sideways/
