    What do you think is a fun must have?

    Hi everyone! I got my girls a parakeet play pen when they were babies. It's just a fun perch for them, but they really love to ring the bell that hangs on one of the ends. What do your chickens find fun? The girls are starting to grow so Hubby got a new project now!

    Who's Who?

    Any suggestions on the best way to tell chickens apart. I fear the leg ties. Are those safe for growing chicks? I tried the food coloring on the tail feathers, but my girls are growing too quickly. Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

    Oh the Rain!

    It's the girls first experience with rain! When it sprinkled they enjoyed it a bit. As it rained a bit more they went right in the coop on their own. :cd I'm so proud of my smart girls! I can't wait to see how they play in the puddles.

    Heat Lamp

    Hi everyone! Any suggestions on how long I should keep a heat lamp on for my new chicks? They only use it at night right now since the days are warm here in Arizona. Today is the first night that they are not directly under it.

    Red Star - determine gender

    So, I just received seven amazing and adorable Red stars. They are approximately 5 weeks old. any tips on confirming they are hens at this age? Most of the info found online are tips when they are day or two old.
