I live in Sarasota and was wondering if it's safe to keep my chicks in the garage. I know you need a heat lamp but I just don't want it to be too hot for them.

I'm looking to get 12 chicks soon, how big of a brooder should I have? Should I make two for that many?

Thanks, yeah I know there are Hawks in the area so that's always an issue. Would it be best just to have a stationary coop with a larger area to run around in? As opposed to larger chicken trailers?
