Chris,
My Seramas are A and B class.
My orignal flock came from Sam Traten in Pa. His birds come directly
from Jerry Schenexdar in La. The orignal importer of these birds.
All are pure bred and highest show quality. I really need to get my flock down
to a managable level. I give birds away...
They are still alittle young to judge. Legs alittle long, wings not yet vertical and long in the back. Believe me they will get better after their first moult.
Live in Delaware part time and my retirement home in Wytheville.
I have show class Seramas to give away. Will be heading to Wytheville
on August 8th. Can bring extra birds with me.
Born and raised in Princeton, WVa.
Chelsea,
The more you handle the chick, the better it will be as an adult. Very friendly.
You saw how friendly my Frances is. He was handled daily. Good luck. I have hatches
happening every day so make room for more birds.
Ditto with Priszilla on the pasty butts.
I keep my coop no cooler than 40 deg.F for adult birds.
They will huddle together to stay warm.
Heater is one of those oil filled, looks like old radiator.
Thermostatic control, very safe and works great in my
insulated coop of 8' X 8' with 20 birds.
I have been using an incubator for over 30 years that is very similar to yours.
I built it to hatch Bantam eggs. Update the temp control to digital and have
had great success with my hatching this year. I have built my egg turner with
external knob as to not open incubator.
Good Luck with...
