Here is updated photos.. He is moving his legs, head and wings a little more now. and squeeking more. The sac is still the same. I am trying to keep a moist paper towel over the sac and I put a little ointment on it. I also put it in a little bowl because his siblings would not stay away from him.

I guess I will wait and see what happens.. Poor Baby is a fighter...

The little one is still alive but not well... It seems to have part of its intestine outside body.. Coming out its butt :(.. It is missing an eye and cant move its body below the neck.. Makes me mad.... We will see if there is anything I can do for it,,, But it looks bad..

The baby is alive but not well. It is pretty beat up.. It moves its head. but not the rest of its body. It can only open one eye :( and it has a big bubble/growth coming out its butt.. Like intestines or something. Im pretty sure its not gonna make it. Feel bad for the baby. Maybe this is why...

My muscovy duck had a nest of 19 plus eggs that was due around July 4.. To make a long story short the hatch did not go well. I kept checking on her and the nest and a week after due date I noticed a lot of flies around nest... So i scooted her off the nest and picked out many dead/rotten eggs...

Thank you for the replies. i wrapped a damp paper towel around the baby. It is still half in the shell. How do I keep it warm if it shouldnt be under lamp? When i put towel around it is let out a light chirp. The bleeding has slowed considerably. i guess all I can do now is wait..???

Just a quick update. My duck just sprained his wing. The vet came and caught him and he did very well. He still is holding his wing different than the other one but he is active and eating. He moves the wing a little more than before and seems to be getting a little better every day.

Sorry for the late reply. I used a Janoel24. very good incubator. Pretty much factory settings ran the whole thing. I think I only had to adjust the heat up on notch to get it set correct.I hope to hatch more in the spring because it was so much fun .
