So true about it being addictive, I went local to buy 10 birds came back with 30 English whites, hatched a hundred, found a quail egg auction on Facebook :weebought 120, hatched some more while waiting on the 120, then one of mine laid a blue egg! Definitely need, need some of those. THEN (what...

Had better success with dry incubation and dry hatch/lockdown

I’m in Louisiana and I have a better hatch rate with 50 to 60 percent humidity. I had the same problem as you. :idunno Who knows. keeping it simple gives me the best results. Doesn’t overload my birdbrain either.:D

Granny's gone and done it again

Maybe post a picture of the dog at your local vets office if they will allow it. Get it checked out there so they can speak on behalf of its health and they might help find it a home. My vet has a bulletin board in their office for such cases.

I bought 15 straight run black frizzle Cochin bantams chicks. 3 weeks old now and One is almost completely feathered out. The rest have only wing feathers. Do I only have one female? At 5 days some showed signs of different amounts of wing feather growth so I thought I had several females. Combs...

If you think it seems strong, mix yours by half and see if it works. If not increase a little until it does. Or check the active ingredient permethrin on your bottle and google the amount of active ingredient on a bottle of permethrin spray for chickens. Estimate your needed amount by comparing...

    Small flying bugs??

I have been spraying my pens, birds and surrounding areas for 5 days, twice daily and finally yesterday the number of black flies(gnats) have started to decline. Spray has not hurt my week old Sussex chicks, ducklings, goslings or quail. I mist it over them too.

    Small flying bugs??
