I found one of my hens outside my 5-ft tall chicken run with it's neck and head gone. I was out of town, can't remember if I saw it in the run when I got back or if it happened while I was gone... Any idea on what got it?

I was taking care of my chickens today and noticed that one of them is really lethargic. Stands in the run with it's eyes closed. It has a lot of bird droppings on it's rear end. Would that be the problem? I've never had this happen before. Thanks!

There was a gap in the fence/gate that my dog slipped through. One chicken is hurt really bad. It's chest/neck area is pretty torn up. Some of it's insides are visible and slightly hanging out. Do I kill the chicken? Or is there something else I can do to save it?
