Old chick feed? Can I still use it?

Fwiw, if it was left over because you stopped feeding at a certain point with last years chicks, it is more efficient to make feed changes, say starter to grower or layer, at the end of a bag rather than a specific age in weeks. With the exception of meat birds where you would be under a more necessary feed schedule, there is no need to stop feeding starter before the end of a bag and change feeds a week or two(or more) "late"

Good to know thanks!

I think this makes the most sense as well. It's not as if reaching a magic number (like 6 weeks) that suddenly the chicks need a drastic change in food. Use it up while it's still good!
