I haven’t cleaned their cage in days as to not disrupt her.
She finally is comfortable enough to stay on them.
We’re officially incubating! The cock takes night shift it seems and she’s got day shift.
I'm on the far end. Sure i might save a favorite or put effort into a bird if i know she's going to live (a hen last summer showed up covered in maggot s and missing most off her skin..... She lived)
But my birds all have a job. If they can't do that job they have to go. Into the freezer or a...
She is so cute.
No I will not be flying the Zitterhall or the Runts.
I also have Homers and pouters. The homers will need to be flown for racing purposes but it will be a while for that. The two pair I have have not started procreating yet.
So earlier I was outside cleaning cages on all the critters (I have a menagerie of animals) and I kept hearing what sounded like a young hawk. My chickens were on alert and kept looking up.
I know I have a young coopers because he has taken a liking to my Cardinals and is LETHAL on my song...
I put feelers out in several places to find my giant runt a hen. May have one coming this summer. He'll be a year old before i find him a hen and nearly two before she's ready. Poor guy.
He slapped me today when i was cleaning his cage out. Wasn't expecting that at all.
I’m getting fever watching all of these baby posts. My Zitterhall have been in and out of the nests all week.
Yesterday my dun hen refused to leave the nest. Even when I put grain down. I’m hoping I’ve got an egg when I get home tomorrow.
I can’t WAIT for babies.
@WVduckchick
I’m at a show almost every weekend of one kind or another. The boys show multiple kinds of animals. It gets busy.
Hopefully you find something while you’re there. Take some pictures!

Okay guys I got the pictures from the show up! Quick edits because I’m not going to fully edit until someone wants one. Lol....
Traitor. :lau
I’ve got to get a new window unit for the main part of my house before the real heat starts. If not my main unit overloads. My house may be tiny but it’s from the 30s. Not much in the way of insulation.
I’ve got peeping in my incubator this morning. Several new Serama babies to...
@Texas Kiki and I can tell which of you are up north simply because you’re wishing for summer.
It was 90 a few days ago here already.
Not looking forward to this summer.
Also I just realized I never published my pictures from the pigeon show. I need to go through them and post them.
My Zitterhall pairs are both building nests.
Ned to post some pictures and videos. I got some good video footage of them feeding each other the other day.
