    Chick failing to thrive

She died at 7:45(20 min ago). The other chicks stomped her. I couldn't cull her, they did it for me. They were quick. I kept trying to keep them away, but they still did it. They acted like the were doing nothing then ran her over or stepped on her real quick. She started twitching shortly...

    Chick failing to thrive

I can feel a worm in there so that worries me. I just made her eat more crumbles mixed with the probiotics/electrolytes, and a few pieces of grit.

    Chick failing to thrive

I mixed both pro biotics and electrolytes as I thought maybe worms stopped her up. I got her to swallow 4 pieces of grit too.

    Chick failing to thrive

I had her eating out of my hand yesterday, to make sure she had full crop. I fed and watered her 3x yesterday and the day before. I have not, she did eat scrambed egg yolk yesterday in her own. I was desperate and gave her baby live meal worms which she ate as well. I thought maybe she's turn...

    Chick failing to thrive

Her poop hasn't looked eight since I've had her either. She just pooped. It was clear, with some white and the green from me feeding her. It was a bit bubbly yesterday.

    Chick failing to thrive

I have been giving her water drops. Even when she was moving she was always by the light. I think she's just failing to thrive. She's been sleepy since I got her. She would already have died if I wasn't feeding and watering her. I picked her up and she was warm, so I was letting her cool, she...

    Chick failing to thrive

I'm unsure how to check. It's not blocked or anything. She won't open her eyes. I just gave her electrolytes, probiotics, and sugar water. She just stays under light.

    Chick failing to thrive

I've been giving her electrolytes. I only have probiotics to offer. She's curled up now, I think it's too late. I can try sugar water again?

    Chick failing to thrive

Let me check. I took a pic from top so you could see it's only pointed in front. Nobody is panting or chirping loud.

    Chick failing to thrive

It's only 100 watt because it is small. They come up and go away. The thermomoter is 97 right where it's pointed and I have attatched chicken wire giving them an extra half a foot to come out and roam.

    Chick failing to thrive

The problematic ones sometimes make it but sometimes don't. I've seen alot of problems with late hatchers. Did you try scrambling some egg yolk? I was syringe feeding too, and omce she startded eating mash from my hand I thought she was gonna get better, she's a fighter, but something is just...

    Chick failing to thrive

Yes, my 2 pullets had cocci at 3 wks old, I'm definitely weary on the syringe. Squirting with a cc in tip of beak and waiting was how I did it. I didn't trust my ability with a frantic chick to shove it in mouth. This is my temp set up since they're small. The one chick sleeping in all 3 pics is...
