So, just adding a question in here. :) If you had two different breeds of autosexing chickens would the result be autosexed chicks? Like if I had a Cream crested legbar hen with a Bielefelder rooster would the chicks be autosexing?

Well so far we have 8 chicks hatch! Two of them are EE that my 14 year old hand turned 3 times a day because they didn't fit in the turner. We have a whole bunch more that have pipped!

We have a pip!!! Our day 21 isn't until tomorrow at 6pm but we are excited!!!....now only 51 more to go!

What breed are you looking?

I would be interested in seeing if anyone had experience with this hatchery as well. I usually have my eggs shipped and a local hatchery would probably have better outcome due to the limited number of hands the package would go through.

I've gotten Bielefelder hatching eggs from Omega Hills Farm and they get their stock from Greenfire. Right now I have 8 pullets in the brooder and I am just crossing my fingers that they make it to laying stage so that I can put them with my Greenfire roos.

Please do keep us updated. I'm always a bit leery when I get ebay eggs and this is unnerving!

We had a pretty successful Bielefelder hatch. We had 8 Bielefelder (7 pullets and 1 cockerel), 2 Bielefelder/deleware crosses and 2 Bielefelder/new hampshire reds

We had 13 hatch and 12 survive. One is currently still in the incubator at day 23 pipped. We are totally thrilled that we had 8 Bielefelder from the mail order hatch. My sons are enamored! Lol!

Day 20 here and we have two "early birds". A few more in one incubator have pips and the other incubator doesn't seem to have any pips yet. Excitement!

Today is our day 18 too. When we locked down the big incubator there was a lot of movement in the eggs and I am so excited! I am glad school gets out tomorrow so I can stay home and watch them hatch!

We have one of the incubators locked down (the small one) and will do the larger one tonight. So excited!!!

I'm not quite as far coastal as you are (here in Sampson County) but have found that there aren't any real hatcheries around here. I get eggs shipped to us, buy from a local person, or attempt to hatch our own. Best of luck to you!!!
