Perfect! And thank you for the LINK!! I need that! Do you have any Violeta Cocks that carry the white gene as you recommended for the Violeta that you would sell? But I'm in FL. Not sure if you ship them.
Thank you for your reply! I am realizing that as well. For one I want to produce quality not quantity, but I would like to reproduce some of the colors I have already like the Violeta and the purple. Which I am now seeing that I need to have other colors in order to do so. Any thought on what...
Would you put the purple male with any of them or should I get another hen for him? Or could I breed him with the Vlioleta and what would come of that? If she is a she the one in the picture attached to this thread.
Thank you so MUCH! So the breeder that sold me the White and purple are supposed to be full white and full Purple from what she said. The Indian Blue was actually Wild he lost his mom when he was young and she was indian blue.
Hi All, It's definitely Mating season here in FL! I have 1 IB, 1 Purple & 1 white that are cocks. My hens are IB Pied, Violeta Pied and Black shoulder IB. Could you give me any recommendations on who to breed to who and why?
Thank you so much for your response!!! No she doesn't have any other symptoms- she is not lethargic still moves away from me when I come in the cage. They are just slightly stretched at her sides. I love her so much I don't want to miss anything and not help her.
The vet is an option but none near me are taking peafowl into the clinic due to the bird flu. Super frustrating because I will gladly give them my money to help her. So what dosage would you give a 3 year old hen? I can give one or the other correct since they are antibiotics?
Yeah this guy had a whole YouTube video on it. Then I put it in the search for this site and nothing came up, so I thought let me ask the experts. What is your go to wormer for the peas to treat them with 2 times per year or monthly?
I have a hen with semi droopy wings and I have tried every type of calcium and vitamin D supplement. She is not lethargic and is still eating but I am concerned it's something. I thought she was egg bound but she I can't feel anything and she is not producing an egg. She is a 3 year old peahen.
