This is my first season with mating age geese, and I have quit collecting eggs from one of my Toulouse goose's nest. She currently has four eggs in her nest. If I were to add ten that I have saved will it entice her to set sooner. How many do they usually like to sit on? Any helpful ideas?
I have four toulouse goslings and plan to build them a 8 x 4 foot coop to close them at night. Is this enough space? I have only found reference of them needing 6 square feet per goose, is this correct?

Yes, it is fine for them to trample the eggs, play soccer with them use them for spring boards, you name it. I have gotten to the point of putting my eggs in trimmed egg cartons at lock down and have had great success. Do a search on here and you will find some great info. Have fun and don't...
My vote is definately for the metal. For me they are much easier to take apart and fill, and I detest setting the plastic ones upside down to fill them and fight with them to get back together. Metal all the way.
