Don't do anything. The chick will either hatch or it won't. It's a sad truth, but when humans get involved, it's riskier than just letting it happen naturally. You could tear the chick's stomach open and it would live a short miserable life. Just let things take course. You've waited this long...

I have previously experienced my ducks stripping the feathers from my birds. They would do it all the time. I would watch the ducks and chickens interact and see if this is the case.:hmm
