No, it's the black coppers - I had a feeling that's what they were. Gorgeous! Do you know, that's one breed I have tried several times to raise & failed every single time. Maybe next time I get back into chickens I'll have better success.

I had a bunch of meyer lemons that were too scarred up to sell, but I juiced them & froze it in quart jars. Works out even better than ice trays! Someone gave me some oranges & I froze that, too.

Dropping in to say Hi here - I miss having my chickens a LOT - still have 2 male guineas trucking around. I miss my peas even more. Hope everybody is having a nice Thanksgiving-Christmas-New Years holiday season.

We're good. We had the coop & run torn down, it was sad. I miss my birds, esp. my peacocks, but life is taking me another direction right now. Lots of rain but we have good drainage & are on high ground. Prayers for all who are battling flooding.

So glad the roo survived! I do miss my chickens - and esp. my peacocks, but my folks have to take priority now. At least I can still live vicariously through BYC!
