I like the birds that I hatched from Piper and Sah, they do have a good size and weight to them- great layers too. The cockerels continue to grow, they are less than a year old still. I've already hatched eggs from the pullets they are already very fertile. Extremely healhy chicks too and they...

Kind of upset tonight. I told my husband not to get me a Christmas, Birthday or Mothers Day present because I wanted to buy a pair of Patterson birds from an acquaintance. I have been waiting since the fall because he said he wanted to take them to Canada and then to a show in February. I...

I have found that the best way to hatch shipped eggs is to weigh them at the beginning and then every seven days in order to be able to adjust humidity if needed.

Well, I will get back to you then. Do you have birds that are unrelated to the pair I am getting from Carl? Or would you recommend someone who might? I know the gene pool is pretty constricted but I do like to keep more than just one or two lines for breeding.

That's funny, I have been trying to get in touch with you about birds or eggs- through the email address on your website. I didn't even think to try to look for you on BYC. Any eggs, chicks or birds available this winter or Spring?

I use the flock raiser too, but I have to keep it separate from the layena because the ameraucanas need the layena, if I go over 17% with them, they start getting the rippled feathers.

Oh, I wish we could have met. They are less than one year, I hatched them in July- so that gives me hope. Did you see the pair that Carl Brantley had at the Winston Salem show? That's the pair that I'm getting for Christmas/birthday, but I have to wait until he comes back from Canada in...

I meant hackles- just a mental vacation on that one. I do understand that the burn patches are acceptable, but not having them is definitely a plus. Yes?

I have beautiful birds that I hatched from eggs that I bought from Sahwithchicks and Piperomar. They are a little under-sized but out of the five girls that I hatched, only one was dark and none had black in their beards. The one boy that I have (who is old enough to tell the color of) has...

Thanks for all of the feedback. I was leaning toward better beard/muff/foot feathering also, but I wanted to make sure.

I need help making a decision. I am going to sell one of my boys at the show this weekend and I could really use some help choosing which one. Sorry these loaded out of order even though I picked them in order. So, I'll label them. Picture 1 is of all of my boys together. They are...

I have extra cockerels. They're really nice too. Where in NC do you live? I will be at the show in Smithfield this Weekend (I'll be donating a pair to the silent auction) and then I'll MAYBE be in Morganton in March but Definitely be in Winston Salem for the spring show.
