Been holding steady at more-or-less 30 dozen a week for several months now. We're as big as we care to get so we're going to try to stay right where we are.
Four dozen yesterday. Six dozen today. Got an order for ten dozen next Saturday. It'll pick up in the fall, but for right now I'm moving all of my salable eggs so I'm happy.
I'm in the usual summer slump so sales are down. Gainesville is a major university town so we lose a lot of folks in June and July. Come late August and September demand will begin to increase. Sure hope so because I've got a lot of new birds that are going to start coming into lay next month!
I'm continuing to average about ten dozen a week give or take a dozen. Retail at $3.00 a dozen except for one small store that I wholesale them to at $2.50 because they buy a cooler full at a time.
......Alan.
I sell about five to ten dozen a week right now. Some for $3.00 and some for $2.50 (small store).
I'd be selling ten dozen every week if so many of my birds weren't molting. I've got new birds that will start picking up the slack soon, I hope.
If I could get $5 a dozen I'd triple my flock...
