I breed Blue/Black/Splash BANTAM Plymouth Rocks, and I know there are at least a few other who breed them in LF as well.

Hello fellow Rock lovers, I just wanted to put this out there. These birds really mean a lot to me and i want them to go to someone who will breed them and try to improve them. Email/message me and check out my website, bluecamasbantams.weebly.com Seven Show Quality Blue and Black Bantam...

    Plymouth Rock thread!

I have a breeding question for those experienced Bantam PR breeders out there. I breed Bantam Blue, Black, and Splash Bantam Plymouth Rocks and their main fault that I'm trying to work on breeding out is their pinched tails in the females in particular. IMO, they have OK front body type, but...

Does anybody on here besides me have Blue/Black/Splash BANTAM Plymouth Rocks?

Here's a couple of pics of my Blue Bantam Cockerel. His leg color is decent though not nearly as good as some of my Black males. He doesn't have any access to fresh greens which probably isn't helping out his color.

I have BBS Bantams and I love them; a really hardy, reliable breed, and not to mention gorgeous! Unfortunately there aren't very many who breed the BBS varieties. I recently lost all of my laying age pullets/hens to predators so I'm the very slow process of growing up the remaining chicks that...

I have Bantam BBS Rocks, I can't find anyone else who has them and I'm always the only one at the shows who has them

They should be fairly easy to tell apart. Orpingtons have pink/slate legs and Rock have yellow legs

Black isn't accepted into the APA? That makes no sense, I've shown my Bantam Black Rocks at many shows. If the Bantam variety is accepted, it would make sense that the LF variety is accepted.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share some pictures of my cockerels I'm growing out this year. It's so hard to pick a keeper! The 2 oldest boys. And the younger boys, about 9 weeks old Big daddy!

Thank you He is leaning forward a lot in that pic. Thanks again! That will help me know what to look for in future birds!

His back is very short, I think it's his main fault. I showed him at a pretty large show last weekend and the judge wrote "tail angle" on the coop-card, what does that mean? I didn't get a chance to talk to him after the judging?

Thanks Do you think his tail will get bigger/longer as he ages? He is almost a year. What about him do you think could be improved on?

fowlman01, do you think you could critique my Bantam Rock cockerel? I'm worried about his tail. I would like to show him, but I wouldn't want to enter him if I know he isn't good quality. What do you think? In general for the breed, is it better for them to have a flatter tail rather than a...

    Plymouth Rock thread!

I just wanted to share some pictures I recently took of my Bantam Rocks. I only have a trio, and sadly a few days ago I lost one of hens. Thankfully I have two of her pullets that I'm growing out, but it's a hard hit considering she was the better one of the two and was the better layer. Anyway...

They also get more yellow as they get older :)

Here's a couple pics that might help as well. The first is of my Bantam Black Rock, he has yellow legs, but they are a little paler than I would like. And then there is my Bantam Blue Rock. She has "dusky" yellow legs, see the dark wash down the front?

Someone on here told me that "dusky" is anything that has a bit of yellow. A dark wash with a bit of yellow down the back is fine, pretty much as long as there is a bit of yellow they are SQ. I'm not an expert though, so correct me if I'm wrong :)
