I'll be getting some at our county fair, and that's not until August. I'm hoping to get some Polish chickens this year! But it depends on what breeds they have. There are always a ton of chickens there for sale!

My finches are all siblings too. They were born and grew up together, so you'd think they wouldn't have problems getting used to each other! And the big cage they were all in was huge! I'm glad your hens get along! Hopefully my new babies aren't aggressive toward each other at all once I get them!

Aww it isn't good when they attack the others like that. I have four finches- three females and a male. We had to separate the male because he was going after the girls, and just a few weeks ago, we had to separate one of the girls because the others were picking on her and pulled all of the...

Hopefully he wasn't stolen for that :( I think it's absolutely disgusting that people force animals to fight just for entertainment.. I think if someone had stolen him, your dogs definitely would have been barking. Same for if something would have attacked. Is it possible he managed to get out...

They also don't want people who know nothing about chickens buying them just because they're cute baby chicks, only to have nothing to do with them once they're not cute and tiny anymore. The minimum orders make sense, they're just inconvenient for me. I actually don't know anyone who has...

This semester of school is finally over, I can be here more often! Yeah, Daisy was such a beautiful girl :) With school over, I can start cleaning now to get ready for some new babies. The fair isn't until August, so I have a long wait unless some feed stores have a few to sell before then. Like...

Take care of what you need to take care of so you can get all settled in your new place! We understand if you're not around as much. Moving in is much more important! And that's great that you set the scorpions you find free! I always catch the bugs in our house and release them. They're living...

Well all animals definitely know who it is that loves and takes care of them, and they won't hurt that person unless they have a good reason to. You just have to be able to read their body language! I know people can have the stingers taken off of scorpions, but that can really affect them badly...

I think I would be a little scared that they would sting at first, but they would just be so fun to watch!

Wow you have a lot of pets too! I'm so jealous of your scorpions! I would love to keep some but I know the other people in my house would not appreciate that too much! Maybe someday :)

I can't wait to hear how it works out with the house! Fingers crossed! Oh goodness, I have three dogs, four cats, two fish, four finches, a parakeet, a turtle, two mice, a prairie dog, and a horse! And I'll be adding a couple chickens to that list very soon! It's a ton of work, but I love them...

I'm so sorry to hear about your guinea pig :( I had a bunch a few years ago. Three generations of them actually! They all lived long healthy lives and it always seems so odd not having a ton of cages in my room! I just have my prairie dog in here with me now, with a bunch of other critters...

Do you have a porch? You could always take them out and just keep them very close by. Take Lilybug outside, hold her, and just let her get some fresh air for a while. And you could do the same with the others too. I'm sure you can be creative and think of something! And yes it is important that...

Walks would be a good idea but dogs and poultry usually don't get along :( Chicken is food to them! Maybe you could make a sort of scheduled time when you take your chickens out and you can work something out wit your neighbor where they keep their dogs in for an hour or so?

I still count it as meat personally. To me, meat is flesh that comes from any animal. Some people don't count fish as meat, but I do.

I think if you explain the situation he might be willing to work something out. Your current living situation is dangerous for your chickens and he should hopefully be able to understand that.

Don't think that any of this is your fault :( You had no clue there was that amount of mold and that it would be harmful! Would it be possible to maybe get an enclosed coop to keep them in? I've seen some that look very safe! I know keeping them outside isn't something you're completely...

Oh no I'm so sorry :( positive thoughts that she'll recover with the medication :( I think the best thing to do is to have your others checked if you can, and to just be very careful with them- checking carefully for any signs of illness, etc. Is is possible to have the place checked for more...
