You have Spalsh and Black. When mated together 100% of their offspring will be Blue. If Spalsh is mated to Spalsh offspring will be 100% Splash. Black to Black will be 100% Black. You need either a Black, Blue or Spalsh male to mate with theses to get some Blue offspring.
We purchased some Buff Chantecler chciks last year from Ideal Poultry. type and color were great, just a bit small in size. We have started a Buff Chantecler Improvement Project. Here are our first chicks of the project. They would be 1/2 Ideal and 1/2 Project male. The chipmunk colored chicks...
Metzer has two strains of Buff Geese.....Metzer and Holdreads. Metzer did buy all of Holdereads Buff Geese, but are stills elling their own strain as well.
The folks who bought some of ours may be selling them due to a divorce.

Not good. We sold ours. Several were tufted and we did not order the tufted. Will acquire some more from Metzer Farms. For a backyard flock, they were nice. But we only keep exhibition quality birds.
Does anyone have photos of Ideal's large fowl Buff Wyandottes? We are getting a few more Buff Chanteclers in a few weeks and have added some Buff Wyandotte LF.
How close to the SOP are they?
I know they acquired their Buff Wyandotte Bantams from a top exhibition breeder. Just wondering if...
The hatcheries, especially Ideal, are very experienced at shipping in the winter. When the chicks arrive, you will see that only a few holes have been punched out. This will conserve the heat. They will also add some "packing peanuts" roosters to help with warmth.
