Newbury Park is unincorporated, and thus falls under the municipal code of Ventura County. You can find the municipal code here:
http://municode.com/library/clientCodePage.aspx?clientID=10165
KEEP IN MIND: All municipal codes are trumped by zoning ordinances, so make sure you check...

The LORE database cannot track all the zoning restrictions for each municipality. Which is why most of the entries say "ZONING RESTRICTIONS APPLY."

Sacramento allows chickens. You can see their LORE entry here :
https://www.backyardchickens.com/laws/display.php?State=CA&City=Sacramento&actions=search
FOLKS---if your city is not in the LORE database, feel free to submit your city, provided you have a direct link to the code...
Your municipal codes for Los Angles County are here:
http://search.municode.com/html/16274/index.htm
These laws apply to the county as a whole. HOWEVER--your speciific lot will fall under the zoning codes. You need to find out what your parcel is zoned as, and then look up the rules...

If you are looking for help, you would be better off posting a thread int he Laws in ordinaces section, rather than posting a question within this monster thread
I am pretty sure the only people who read this thread are Nifty, CC, and me

I am not sure what you are saying...Are you saying you got mis-information, or is MisInfo a user name, or there is misinformation in the LORE database?
Please see the OKC section---it does include the acreage information.
C. The site shall be at least at least one acre in size...

Folks-- Please do not submit cities that are already entered in the database. It makes the system hiccup and is a PITA to fix. Just PM one of the project managers and we make updates.
You can submit any incorporated or non-incorporated area, so long as you include a direct link to the municpal code for verification. No PDFS please. It must be first-hand information.

Because East Brunswick is unincorporated, their municipal codes would follow the codes for Middlesex County.
You can find that code here:
http://www.ecode360.com/?custId=MI0188
Keyword search "fowl" and you will find this:
Chickens, ducks, geese or other fowl shall not be kept for...

I guess I got conflicting information about that. Just a heads up, Beaverton, OR now has three incorrect entries, probably from people trying to enter the correct information once again. When you get around to fixing it, I would be happy to point you towards the correct information...

Hey folks! If you'll see in the instructions, you should not re-submit cities. It causes a hiccup in the database and is really difficult to correct.
I will review the entries when I have time time.
No, the database is not searchable at this time. I could see how such a function might be useful, but it isnt set up in that fashion.
On a side note, very, very few places have restrictions on the # of animals...at least in a format which was "storable" within the database. Often times...

Thank you! Feel free to submit the city into the database, but make sure your link is a "live" link, and not a PDF. Remember Chickens allowed: YES, Zoning Restrictions Apply.

If you have the link to the code, you can submit the municipality into the BYC Lore database. In your case, chickens ARE allowed, but zoning restrictions apply.

You'll get a better response if you post a topic in this Forum---also there are a number of stickies in the Local Chick LAws & Ord forum which can get you started.
