I posted pictures above for you to reference. I wanted to mention that my BO are all 20 weeks old and one has a full red comb and some still have a peachy/pink comb. They mature differently across the same breed, just like people I guess...

Mine are very skittish and others have reported the same thing. Don't know if that is an unfortunate trait of the breeding lines that many of them come from.

I am not going to show them, but wanted to make sure that the tail was due to something normal! lol. I figured that the BO and the LO were just different varieties. The BOs look much more english and the LO look more APA, from my google search. Are english varieties also bigger than APA...

I just got 2 lavender orpingtons and I have a question about their tails. Their tails stick straight up ... is that normal. They are long, but almost fanned out. I will attach a picture from my phone is another post. My BO are very feathery, but their tails go straight out ward to the back...
