    My chicken coop is on the right of this building it use to be a shed so the wall was already there and we added a door and pop door so the ducks and chickens would have their own rooms. Then I have 2 more houses for the rest of the ducks and one goose house, yep the math really got to me.

    Heated buckets are awesome I cannot say enough about them, For about 5 yrs I use to have to go out muliple times daily and top off buckets with hot water beat the ice open now gosh It's just so nice to make sure they have plenty of water in their buckets but not to have to take a hammer to them...

    Honestly I think it hurts more than helps using heat inside houses, unless you have a breed like Runners which Amiga says they need additional warmth because of their slim bodies. She doesn't use heat though just keeps them where they are more comfy. Ducks usually have their big molt in the...

    Large ducks like Muscovy, Rouens, Pekins etc need 6sq feet of space per bird, smaller breeds 2-6sq feet. according to Storey's Guide to Raising Ducks.

And I do agree with Amiga a predator could and would bust the glass out of those windows I would cover the outside with Hardware cloth, that way you can open the one up in the summer for ventilation and still use the other one for the door but nothing can...
