The number of breeds is not an issue -an egg is an egg. The question is does the seller have paperwork showing that their parent birds have tested negative of certain diseases, to allow them to send to you if you are out of state. The regulations vary from state to state.
The older eggs get the worse they do when shipped. Personally I would not ship eggs older than 2 days. The albumen in the eggs start to loose their structure and are more easily damaged when tossed about in the mail. Your buyer may be lucky and they do just fine especially as these eggs are...

I think that most hens have slowed down for winter and as people not hatch much over winter breeders tend to mix their flocks as it is easier to look after them that way. Therefore there are less pure bred eggs available.
Depends on price, especially this far into the year.
You could do a buy it now if you are worried about getting a minimum bid :) . Nothing to loose that way.
