Oddly enough, they do better in my experience. With one group only two were fertile and both developed. One hatched and the other would have but it had a terrible yolk infection. The other group was three eggs, all fertile. 100% hatch rate :D
No, they didn't. The humidity was just too darn high. Drowned most of the chicks too. I had one that I thought would make it but it had quit when I candled it for lockdown. The sebbies are coming from a woman who has 20 pairs of multiple colors. She's in MN. Her birds are all holderread stock...
You want 15% weightloss by lockdown. I have more sebbie eggs coming, so I have to break out the scale! I don't usually bother weighing with other species, but with geese it's important.

I have questions about all the eggs I won, lol. I won some that were labeled W -B/W Amerauacanas. Is this white and black and white? Also a question on the turkey eggs - they were labeled royal palm and sweetgrass. Will they be mixed or pure? Just curious!
Tab and Travis, thank you for hosting! I had a wonderful time.
Just got done setting up the new incubator I had to buy on the way home because of all the darn eggs I won. I kind of cleaned housed on the eggs in the auction :hide I swear I didn't buy a ton of tickets and throw them in the eggs...
Sounds like we can do it so the demo is on. We'll pick up a paring knife if no one else has one to bring. Can someone bring an eempty milk bottle for the kill cone?
Hey guys, posting for Baking. Rancher was supposed to bring the rooster, so she thought the demo was off. However, if someone can bring a big pot, something to heat the water with like a turkey frier or burner, a killing cone or something to use as one like a bleach bottle etc, a sharp paring...
