Do you have a rooster? If you do then once the eggs are laid you'll need a broody hen or incubator to have them hatch. If you search there are many threads on the topic.

Do you want them to be able to walk around or just keep cool? Our coop Is approximately 8-12 inches from the ground and all the hens fit just fine when they want to cool off or lay eggs in unreachable places. So just depends on what your goal is.

He seems very "leggy" to me. May be why he walks the way he does.

Sorry, I just noticed some very manly characteristics on that one. I'm currently hoping I have a couple roosters in my straight run batch of EEs but it isn't looking promising. Usually I dont want roosters and get at least half; this time I think I'll be lucky to get one

I'd mark them to keep as layers or you could process them when they are full grown. Not a lot of options, but a few. Good luck, hope you figure something out.

They are most likely crosses with another variety. I know Brahmas were originally not standardized, but it has been a century and by now they all should be. Sort of like all dogs came from wolves, but a beagle should look like a beagle at this point without some of those "old" traits popping up...

At night they aren't noisy at all because they sleep kist like us. The can be noisy when they lay an egg but of I'm in the house without windows open, I cant hear mine. Hope this helps!

I know people will tell you they aren't worth butchering but my extras gave plenty of meat. They are a bit of a handful once they come of age but then I dont feel bad about butchering haha

It is not unusual at all, especially in hatchery stock. Most birds that are not purchased from a breeder are from birds who were made for egg production and thus produce more eggs and at a younger age.

My brahams always get a little more pink faced and make me doubt myself at about 4-6 weeks but feathering has been a much better indicator for me. I'd say you are safe. (I never say never but bertha looks like a she to me)
