All 7 that went into lockdown successfully hatched! The little black one had a dry kinda crusty back. I wiped it down today but it still doesn’t have much down. The rest are so fluffy!!
I dub thee Miley. I was soooo gentle candling all of the eggs and making sure they didn’t turn during lockdown and here she comes like a wrecking ball!
Literally playing Bocci Ball with her siblings. Eggs are going everywhere. 😬
He/she is LOUD!! 🤣 I’ve had chicks before but didn’t realized...
70%. That’s the only spot of condensation… there’s a box to prop up a camera right there that seems to be causing it. I moved it back an inch and the condensation went away.
This first one is definitely a goner. The other two are also I think. I’ll recheck tomorrow and throw them out if they get a definite ring. They are “swishy” like there’s no friction between the shell and contents.
I’m glad I candled at 5 days. It was way easier to see development with the...

Day 7 and the easiest to candle eggs aren't looking good. I think we handled them way too much and the candling flashlight also got really hot at the end before I noticed. I don't know how many are viable. I haven't thrown any out yet... as a first time incubator I'm not too certain of what I'm...
Only day 3 here but I’m so excited! This is my first time. I’m absolutely amazed that only 3 days in I can already see a little heart fluttering away! It looks like 15/22 are developing but I’ll leave them all in until at least day 7 to remove the clears.
This is my first ever try at incubating eggs. Wish me luck! These are some local Easter eggers. The five darker ones in the middle were freshly laid this morning and the rest were a bit cold so we’ll see how it goes! All air cells were very tiny and didn’t move at all. Fingers crossed!
