First egg is always fun

We have never had to trim one yet on our Orps but I am not much on trimming fluff. We have had to clean up our Coronations twice but it was more for messy than to fluffy. I like to breed birds that I don't have to trim but if I have to I will. Once you invest that much money you have to make it...

We hatch shipped eggs often and other than a few routes we have good hatches. We recently hatched 13 of 13 white Bresse out of Indiana. We have also had zero hatches. We also ship all over the country with good success.

Well just finished our newest Jubilee run, we are using one of our original GFF rooster over 4 new hens. Fingers crossed for gorgeous chicks. That will make us 2 pens. Our first pen is a mix of GFF and Fancy chuck..

About 4 months

We picked up what we thought was a quad of Jubilees from a friend in order to have a second pen and much to our surprise he is a she and laid her first egg Saturday.

Our Jubilee and Bresse are one of the last to go up at night they hang our for the last drop of sun light,

I would agree, mine lay like crazy when they lay. When we bought part of our flock and moved them an they quit. Moved them again to a new coop and they quit again. So now we leave them alone. Well for a while.
