They're junk. Half had white legs. A third to half had red or mostly red earlobes. I rehomed all but a trio and they all ended up too stocky looking for a leghorn and both pullets laid creme eggs. I ended up getting rid of them soon after they started laying so no pics unfortunately. Let me know...

Here's a couple of that pullet and a hen from the same line as the hens I started with to get her. Hen is still young about 9 months. Pullet is about 5 months. These are a couple of or moderns. This rooster has the same type as the modern rooster I started with.

Must be the lighting but her legs are good. That wing does drive me crazy. It looks good most of the time but she does drop it which i dont like at all. I seen a lot of wing carriage issues in the isabels when they first came out so not a new dislike for me. The tail... Oh where to start...

I didnt get as good of a hatch as I wanted. Turner bound up and broke on about day 14. When it snapped all eggs slammed to one side and cracked about 15 of them when they hit the racks. Im replacing all my adult buffs except a couple roosters from last year. Think I have about 50 chicks between...

Yes. I know with the light browns and light browns splits that the chicks were having some variations in their head markings. On another thread someone was having the same thing and mentioned they were culling them because the odd ones were wildtype and something else instead of...

Heres a few more of those cuckoo/silver duckwing chicks like the one showing the faint stripes. You can see some of them are showing some of the eye stripe from the silvers. Theyre funny little chicks seems like some of the duckwing pattern randomly bleeds through the extended black.

Shouldnt be able to. Theyre from a cuckoo rooster over silver duckwing hens. So all chicks get one barring gene. I need to get the second barring gene in the males before I can sex at hatch by head spots. F1s so in theory the extended black from the cuckoo should hide the silver duckwing in the...

She's buff but ya that wheaten pattern is really showing through. Im going to see what i can do to lose the buff and pull the wheaten pattern out. I can see a wheaten/ blue wheaten pen in my future.

Thank you. I've heard others say the isabellas and the mille fleurs are calmer but my experience has been they are all pretty much the same. Some are less flighty then others but its an individual bird thing not a color thing. Im sure there may be differences in some lines vs others but again to...
